In this article, you will learn how to add a new client to your platform. Keeping an up-to-date client list is essential for organizing your work, tracking client details, and ensuring smooth billing and communications.
Steps to Add a New Client
Navigate to the Clients Tab
From your main dashboard, click on the Clients tab located in the main navigation menu.
Note: If this is your first time adding a client, you will not see any records on this screen. Here's a look at the Client tab with no clients added:
Start Adding a New Client
Click the New Client button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen (Or middle of the tab if this is your first time adding a client).
A "New Client" modal window will open.
Enter Client Information
In the modal window, complete the following fields:
Company Name: Enter the client's company name.
Contact Name: Add the name of the primary contact person.
Email: Provide the primary contact's email address.
Phone: Enter the primary contact's phone number.
Note: Client details and contact information can be updated at any time. Remember, Shrlock will never contact your clients using this information.
Save the New Client
Once you have confirmed that all information is accurate, click Add Client.
The modal will close, and you will now see your new client listed in the Clients tab.
View and Configure the Client Profile
Click on the new client’s name to open their Client Profile.
Here, you can add more detailed information and make additional configurations.
