The "Getting Started" Welcome screen helps new users quickly set up their account and begin using the platform's core features. Completing these steps ensures you are ready to manage clients, track work, and send invoices efficiently.

What you can do on the Welcome screen

The Welcome screen appears on your dashboard when you first log in. It guides you through five essential setup actions:

  1. Add a Client – Enter your first client to begin organizing your work.

  2. Start a Project – Create a project to group related tasks and time entries.

  3. Create a Task – Define the specific work you need to complete.

  4. Track Time – Record billable or non-billable hours against tasks.

  5. Send an Invoice – Generate and send an invoice to get paid.

These steps are designed to help you set up a basic workflow that supports smooth billing and client service.

For example: If you added a client during the onboarding flow, you should see the first "Add a Client" task marked as complete.

How to use the Getting Started screen

Each step is shown as a clickable item:

  • Click on a purple-highlighted step to go directly to the screen where you can complete that task.

  • As you complete each step, it will be marked as done.

Once all five steps are completed, the card will show as fully complete.

Closing the Welcome card

After you complete all the steps, you can close the "Getting Started" card by clicking Close in the upper right-hand corner. This will remove it from your dashboard.

By completing the Welcome screen steps, you:

  • Set up your client and project structure

  • Enable accurate time tracking for billing

  • Streamline invoice creation for faster payments

This guided setup helps you move from setup to billing in just a few clicks, supporting a smooth and professional start with the platform.
